Kruszwica to focus on margarine - Company News - Brief Article

Kruszwica, the leading Polish vegetable fats producer is focusing purely on consumer margarine products from now, as its other operations were transferred to Unilever Polska, the Polish subsidiary of Anglo-Dutch consumer goods giant Unilever.

The Cereol-owned Kruszwica saw its sales operations transferred to Unilever Polska in line with a deal worth PlZ90m (24.3m [euro]) a year. "Along with the signed agreements Unilever Polska will receive a license for distribution, sales and promotion of consumer margarine produced by Kruszwica," the company said.

Following the agreement, Kruszwica will focus its resources and potential on refining, production and sales of vegetable fats, professional margarine and groceries fats, the company added.

Kruszwica is 81.3% held by Cereol, and reported sales of PlZ164m, operating profits of PlZ13m and net profit of PlZ2m in the first quarter of 2002.
