US coffee giant Starbucks has appointed Jim Donald, a former president and chief executive officer at Pathmark Stores, as president of Starbucks North America. Donald reports to Starbucks president and chief executive officer Orin Smith and starts in early November. Donald succeeds Howard Behar, who will remain on Starbucks' board of directors.
