US food giant Kraft Foods, part of the Philip Morris group, has made several management changes to its business in North America. Irene B Rosenfeld has been appointed to the position of president North American Business, in which she will be responsible for Kraft's five operating groups and 15 business divisions, as well as new product development.

Also at Kraft, David S Johnson has been named group vice president Kraft Foods North America and president operations, technology, procurement and information systems, taking up Rosenfeld's previous position. Elizabeth A Smith has been named as president beverages, desserts and cereals, and Daryl Brewster group vice president Kraft Foods North America, Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico. Michael Mudd has joined Kraft Foods North America's management committee, along with Smith and Brewster. The US food giant also named four new divisional heads, Dan Butler as executive vice president Kraft Foods North America and general manager biscuits, Nick Meriggioli executive vice president Kraft Foods North America and general manager Oscar Meyer, Fred Scheaffer executive vice president Kraft Foods North America and general manager Kraft Canada, and John Cowles executive vice president Kraft Foods North America general manager beverages.
