DB Technology Inc. has released RAS Imaging for the Patient Accounting Workflow to help streamline hospital patient accounting and billing office systems. The system eliminates manual processes by linking all patient records, forms and documentation into a single electronic file. It enables hospitals to capture patient documentation at the admissions office scanning workstation at registration. Patient records, including insurance cards, face sheets, drivers licenses and EOBs, together with electronically captured documentation such as remittance forms, UB 92s and detailed bills are all collected, archived, distributed and viewed in a central, secure, electronic environment. Features include the ability to annotate scanned documents with an electronic "sticky note" for future follow-up, several modes of scanning and intuitive scanning.
