Take a note - New Products & Services - MediNotes introduces Charting Plus, an electronic medical records program - Brief Article

Health Management Technology, Oct, 2002

MediNotes introduces Charting Plus, an electronic medical records program. The system utilizes symptom-based or diagnosis-based templates with prepopulated data for the most common exams. When charting, these elements may be left as the default or launched to add more specific information about the patient. Physician referral letters can be created using the patient note, and customized patient instructions can be generated while patients are in the office. The system provides billing codes and E&M coding based on the information documented in the patient's note. Security features such as password protection, one-key locking and profile-based program access keep records safe and ensure that only appropriate personnel have access. The application includes more than 5,800 medications (generic and brand name), and a complete list of ICD-9 and CPT codes. MediNotes, West Des Moines, IW
