Hartford, Conn.-based Aetna has won the Disease Management Association of America's Health Plan Disease Management Leadership Award for its efforts to address racial and ethnic disparities in healthcare. Aetna launched a multifaceted program in 2001 to improve both access to services and the healthcare services themselves for its unique customer groups.
