ScanTime uses bar coding technology that automates record-keeping for home healthcare workers to track attendance, service and supplies by importing an existing database to generate bar code labels using a regular laser printer. Instead of keeping paper-based records, caregivers use its key chain-size bar code scanner to quickly scan patient information, healthcare services provided and any medical supplies delivered. Then, they upload all data by connecting the uniquely identified scanner to a Web-enabled PC. Administrators can retrieve the data and generate reports sorted by patient, caregiver or date.
