Cerner buys Dynamic Healthcare - IT Acquisitions - Brief Article

Health Management Technology, Feb, 2002

Shareholders of Dynamic Healthcare Technologies approved the company's sale to Cerner Corp., Kansas City, MO. Cerner announced the completion of the purchase on Dec. 17 and will pay about $21 million, including $19 million in stock and $2 million in cash for Dynamic, a vendor of laboratory, pathology and radiology information systems and workflow management software.

Cerner expects to net 200 new clients from Dynamic's client base of 640, and believes many will be interested in Cerner's recently released RIS/PACS combination. Dynamic has been renamed Cerner DHT, Inc. and will continue to support the company's pathology, laboratory and radiology products.
