The updated version of CareAdvisor, a health information library that contains more than 500 prerecorded health topics written and re viewed by medical experts, includes 20 new topics and the ability to access all topics online as MP3 files, which offer smaller files sizes and improved sound quality. It provides audio health information by telephonic, interactive voice response, as well as by audio and text on the Web, presenting the public with accurate information to help them make informed decisions in managing their health. CareAdvisor can send a copy of the caller's selected topic using a fax or e-mail, offering nurses a resource for addressing health information inquiries so they can focus on calls that may require medical expertise. It can operate as a stand-alone service or in conjunction with Sharp Focus Call Center software, which provides the opportunity to offer additional services such as physician referral, class scheduling or screening enrollment.
