Telehealth option

Health Management Technology, May, 2006

[Power.sup.2] is a back-office and point-of-care solution from Thornberry Ltd. and FGA Solutions designed to give home care organizations the ability to manage their clinical and financial operations from a single database. It features a new telehealth option, powered by InterSystems' CACHE post-relational database that links with Milwaukee, Wisc.-based Honeywell HomMed LLC. Vital statistics such as blood pressure, [O.sub.2] levels, pulse and temperature that are captured by a telehealth monitor can be transmitted from the patient's home to Honeywell's HomMed data repository, and then imported into [Power.sup.2]'s native EHR. It then can be accessed and viewed by home care agency clinicians from any clinical location. Thornberry Ltd., Lancaster, Pa.
