In the Surgical Equipment, Instruments and Supplies category, an award was presented to 3M Health Care, Tustin, CA, and IDEO Product Development, Palo Alto, CA, for 3M CDI Blood Parameter Monitoring System 500, a system used in conjunction with a heart-lung machine to analyze and control a patient's circulation during open-heart surgery.
