Categories include Clinical Laboratory Equipment and Supplies with Nova Biomedical Corp., Waltham, MA, winning one award in this category for Stat Profile pH0x Blood Gas Oximeter. Spectrx Inc., Norcross, GA, won a Diagnostic Devices award for Bilicheck, a handheld, battery-operated, non-invasive bilirubin analyzer for diagnosing and monitoring jaundice in infants. In the Surgical Equipment, Instruments and Supplies category, an award was presented to 3M Health Care, Tustin, CA, and IDEO Product Development, Palo Alto, CA, for 3M CDI Blood Parameter Monitoring System 500, a system used in conjunction with a heart-lung machine to analyze and control a patient's circulation during open-heart surgery.
