Point-of-Care Blood Testing

The Triage[R] BNP System provides rapid quantitative results using whole blood or plasma. The system consists of two parts-- a small, disposable test device and the Triage Meter, a portable fluorescent meter. A blood sample is inserted into the meter after a brief incubation period. The meter automatically detects the target marker (BNP) and display's the results on a numerical electronic readout. By providing important and accurate point-of-care diagnostic information to the physician within 15 minutes, the Triage BNP Test may enable earlier therapeutic intervention, which could prevent the disease from advancing and lead to improved patient outcomes, lower mortality rates and cost-effective care.
