FRANKLIN E. PATTERSON has been named director of information systems at Southern University in Louisiana. Most recently, he was director of information technology at Mount Union College in Alliance, Ohio. Patterson earned a bachelor's from Johnson C. Smith University in North Carolina and an MBA from McColl School of Business at Queens College.
