WASHINGTON
Ross University School of Medicine & School of Veterinary Medicine has created a $2.1 million diversity and outreach scholarship program. The objective of the program is to challenge and enable underrepresented minority students to meet their potential in becoming medical doctors and veterinarians.
"This represents our commitment to helping students who have the potential for high achievement and may only lack the means for obtaining their goals," says Ross University President Neal S. Simon.
The program is open to U.S. citizens or permanent residents who will be selected by an admissions committee. The awards will be based on prior academic performance, potential to successfully complete the program, leadership school and community activities, work experience, references, and the recommendation of a member of the Congressional Black Caucus.
