The American Association for the Advancement of Science has been awarded a three-year $400,000 grant from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation to help establish a new center for Advancing Science and Engineering Capacity. The Center will provide consulting services to individual universities and colleges seeking to increase the participation of U.S.

students, especially women and underrepresented minorities in science and engineering careers.
