DR. KERMIT CARTER has been named dean for student affairs at Calhoun Community College in Decatur, Ala. He previously served as the college's assistant dean for student affairs. Carter earned a bachelor's from Oakwood College in Huntsville, Ala., a master's from Alabama A&M University and a doctorate from the University of Alabama.
