DR. EVELYN NETTLES has been appointed associate-vice president for academic affairs at Tennessee State University's Avon Williams campus. Previously, Nettles was assistant vice president for extended studies at South Carolina State University. Nettles earned bachelor's and master's degrees from Tennessee State and a doctorate from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
