DR. ROBERT C. LOWERY JR. has been appointed clinical professor of surgery at the State University of New York Downstate School of Medicine and chief of the division of cardiothoracic surgery at its University Hospital of Brooklyn. Previously, Lowery was on the faculty of Howard University. He earned a bachelor's from the City College of Los Angeles and a medical degree from the University of California-San Diego.
