DR. ANDREE NICOLA MCLAUGHLIN has been named the first holder of the Dr. Betty Shabazz Distinguished Chair for Social Justice at Medgar Evers College, CUNY. McLaughlin, who has been a member of the faculty at Medgar Evers since 1974, earned a bachelor's from Cornell University, and master's and doctoral degrees from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
