The Community Technology Centers' Network (CTC-NET) is convening a seminar titled "Access and Beyond: Advancing a Community Technology Agenda," which is expected to draw more than 700 professionals from CTCs, government agencies, nonprofit associations, universities and corporations.
CTCNet is a national, nonprofit membership organization of more than 600 independent community technology centers where people get free or low-cost access to information technology, such as PCs and the Internet.
The CTCNet National Conference, which will be held June 14-16 in Austin, Texas, is an annual gathering of its affiliate members, leaders in the field, and others interested in creating equitable participation in technology.
The conference seeks to expand and further community technology by promoting the development of participants individually, regionally and collectively as a movement.
This year's program will include training events sponsored by the America Connects Consortium and presented by CTCNet, the Alliance for Technology Access (ATA) and Education Development Center (EDC).
