DR. EVELYN HU-DEHART has been named director of the Center for the Study of Race and Ethnicity in America and professor of history at Brown University. Previously, she was professor and chairwoman of the Department of Ethnic Studies at the University of Colorado-Boulder. She earned a bachelor's from Stanford University and a doctorate from the University of Texas-Austin.
