New Jersey Medical School

Black Issues in Higher Education, May 20, 2004

The New Jersey Medical School at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) is the recipient of a $3.2 million grant from the Healthcare Foundation of New Jersey to establish a Center for Humanism. The grant, the largest single grant ever awarded by the Healthcare Foundation of New Jersey, will be matched by a $1.2 minion commitment for student scholarships from UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School.

This initiative will focus exclusively on training doctors in compassionate care and becoming medical and scientific experts on humanism in medicine.
