California State University at Northridge received a $60,000 gift from software company Sight, Sound and Motion. The gift is making it possible for students to work closely with Lockheed Martin engineers on the design of an unmanned aircraft that can respond to emergency situations on its own. In addition, California State University at San Bernardino received a $3 million gift from the Annenberg Foundation.
The gift will support construction of the Indian Wells Center for Educational Excellence at the university's new Palm Desert campus.
