Tarrant County College (Texas) has received a $509,000 skills development fund grant from the Texas Workforce Commission. This grant will provide customized training for 500 workers at 15 area hospitals in computers, language and communication, leadership, team development and healthcare specific topics.
TCC, in partnership with the Tarrant County Workforce Development Board, just completed a customized training program for 900 aircraft, semiconductor and automotive workers through a $1.1 million High Technology Training for Adults Initiative grant from the state of Texas and the U.S. Department of Labor.
