SANYO Electric Co Ltd is to deliver a digital music player based on Liquid Audio Inc's software and Texas Instruments' programmable digital signal processors. The new portable device, which meets the recently released Secure Digital Music Initiative guidelines for portable consumer devices, will playback secure digital music files downloaded from the Internet via a PC onto flash memory cards.
