TELECOMWORLDWIRE-(C) 1994-9 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD Strategy Analytics Inc says that the potential merger of Bell Atlantic Corp and AirTouch Communications will create one more mega-player in the US telecomms marketplace, which it predicts is evolving into a landscape where three or four of these mega-payers dominate all the market.

A possible deal could also increase the billing and other expenditures, when the two companies' disparate cellular networks are linked, and lead to accelerated negotiations about global telecomms alliances, Strategy Analytics adds.
