Internet shopping site bigsave.com claims people are spending more online.
In its first customer survey, conducted in February, bigsave.com found the average spend on the site is now GBP114.50, compared with GBP63 over the Christmas period in the US. The survey also found that Internet shoppers are happy to buy a wide range of goods online, including fashion and electrical appliances, and appreciate added extras like online loyalty schemes and order tracking mechanisms.

Sixty-four percent of those taking part in the bigsave.com survey said they were driven to the site by offline marketing like advertising and PR and 17.6% found the site via a search engine. Surprisingly, just 13.9% were driven to the site via online banner advertisements.
bigsave.com is based at http://www.bigsave.com and claims to offer big brands at up to 70% off high street prices.
