Statistics from the Danish Telecom Agency and the Danish consumer board have shown that a Sonofon Variant mobile phone subscription is cheaper than the cheapest fixed line subscription.

The figures were part of a quarterly-updated price comparison and also show that the Variant subscription with a so-called 'Billigzone' ('Cheapzone') option is cheaper for domestic calls than all other mobile phone subscriptions when the phone is used within the 'homezone' area.

The comparison further showed that the Variant subscription gives the overall lowest price (compared to both fixed and mobile subscriptions) for domestic calls when the phone is used within the 'homezone'.
