Nokia is to deliver a commercial ADSL system in Latin America for the Chilean operator Manquehue NET.

In addition to supplying the ADSL lines Nokia will provide a full range of Professional Services including Project Management and Implementation. Delivery of the solution has already begun and the commercial service was launched in mid July, according to Nokia.

Initial implementation of the ADSL lines will be in Santiago but Manquehue NET expects to expand its ADSL business during the course of 2000 and 2001. The company will use advanced broadband services to complement its existing network infrastructure and service portfolio.

The financial terms were not disclosed.
