Asian Internet service provider Pacific Internet Limited has chosen a Nortel Networks DMS-100 digital switching system for its new telephony operations.

The ISP is aiming to capture a share of Singapore's growing long-distance market.

According to Nortel Networks' vice president of ASEAN and emerging markets, the system selected by Pacific Internet offers a flexible, easily-evolved platform to keep pace with network growth and next generation subscriber services.

The financial terms were not revealed.
