Web shopping solutions provider hybris has added an auction module to its e-commerce solution hybris shop.
The new feature means that online shop operators using hybris shop will be able to offer conventional auctions and also 'reverse' auctions, designed for the business-to-business market, in which bids get progressively lower.

According to hybris the auction module will enable e-commerce operators to 'use a series of innovative options to determine prices, maximise profits and foster customer loyalty'. When purchased at the same time as the hybris shop software, the auction module is priced at GBP1,199.
