BT Ignite Solutions, the e-business and communications systems unit within British Telecommunications Plc's BT Ignite business, has won a GBP22.5m contract to manage the IT and communications networks of Balfour Beatty.
The five-year agreement covers the management of Balfour Beatty's mobile, fixed telecomms and data networks as well as billing and providing a helpdesk for all the company's employees. The contract will enable Balfour Beatty's employees to benefit from the seamless voice and data communications provided by BT Ignite Solutions and gives them the flexibility to work at any of Balfour Beatty's 300 temporary or fixed sites in the UK, regardless of location.
