Eurosport.com says that its online coverage of Tour de France 2001 had over 2m page impressions daily throughout the three-week cycling event held in July - record figures for the sports portal.
According to the portal Tour de France 2001 has now become its most successful event ever, helping the Eurosport.com network of web sites to achieve an average of 50m pages viewed per month with an average of 2.2m unique visitors.
