UK-based CODA Plc has won a contract to roll out its CODA-Financials accounting system to each store, wholesaler and trading company worldwide of the home furnishing company IKEA.
CODA`s system, which will replace a number of separate accounting systems, will provide IKEA with unified financial information for the first time.

Under the agreement CODA will deliver CODA-Financials to 1,000 users across 29 countries in Europe, North America, the Far East and Australia. The system will be interfaced with IKEA's custom-built pre-accounting systems that handle goods flow, transportation and invoicing to ensure that all information is fully consolidated and available in real time.
CODA will also provide global consulting services to support the implementation. The value of the contract was not disclosed.
