The Swiss-based European Organisation for Nuclear Research (CERN) has sold its Internal Transaction Management system to the UK transaction management specialist Transacsys Plc for CHF1m.
CERN's software is designed to allow individuals to transact while at the same time controlling the limits of such transactions in accordance with the rules of the organisation. Transacsys intends to launch the system commercially in 4Q'2001.

Transacsys and CERN will also collaborate on the further development of the software and its interfaces with other business critical applications. In addition Transacsys and Oracle Corp have signed a worldwide partnership agreement under which they will cooperate in the marketing of the software to public and private sector organisations.
