FileMaker Inc, the database software subsidiary of Apple Computer Inc, has made available FileMaker Pro 5.5 Unlimited, the latest version of its web database publishing product.
The new version offers the same database features as FileMaker Pro 5.5, including two-way ODBC capabilities and access privileges. However, in contrast to FileMaker Pro 5.5 it sets no limits to the number of web browsers that can access a FileMaker Pro database published on the web.

The software also has two improved web database publishing options: the Web Companion for publishing databases instantly to an intranet or the Internet and the Java-based Web Server Connector for enhanced performance, load balancing and data security via IIS5 and Apache web servers.
FileMaker Unlimited 5.5 is priced at GBP799. Upgrades cost GBP399.
