The French-based memory module manufacturer Dane-Elec has signed a licensing agreement with the US company Lexar Media Inc.
Under the agreement Dane-Elec licenses Lexar's ATA flash controllers for use in its own range of ATA CompactFlash cards. Lexar's controllers are designed to provide storage systems with fast write speeds, reduced power consumption and high capacity as well as controller programming capabilities that allow firmware to be easily upgraded to accommodate new features.
