IT services and solutions company Unisys is set to handle the business processes for cheque clearing services for Malayan Banking Berhad, a Malaysian financial services institution.
Through the outsourcing contract Malayan Banking Berhad can reportedly reduce its processing costs, improve customer relations and enhance the customer experience. Unisys will provide outsourcing services at four locations that cover eight states in Malaysia.

A spokesperson for Unisys has said that it will continue to develop its business process outsourcing expertise in Malaysia.
The contract will last for seven years and has been valued at USD26m.
