Swedish telecomms solutions provider Ericsson said today (3 December) that its subsidiary Ericsson Technology Licensing had signed a licensing agreement with US analogue company National Semiconductor to provide the Bluetooth radio core K-D1.

Ericsson said that the radio core would give National Semiconductor a Bluetooth design solution that could be ported into its manufacturing process, and would enable the company to differentiate products for different manufacturing processes and different market segments.
