IT security solutions provider nCipher plc is set to supply its nShield hardware security module to Internet exchange Exostar following an agreement between the two companies.
Exostar will use nShield to improve the security on ForumPass, its online eCollaboration service. This will be achieved through database and document encryption and XML-based security measures when external applications and web services are integrated into the site.
The financial terms of the agreement were not announced.
