Mobile phone maker Sony Ericsson, a joint venture between Sweden's Ericsson and Japan's Sony, has signed a partnership agreement with US-based handheld computer supplier Palm Inc.

Under the agreement the two companies will work together to make communications solutions based on the Bluetooth wireless networking technology available to mobile products users across the US.

The collaboration will include the combination of Palm's handheld devices and Bluetooth Card with a Bluetooth-enabled Sony Ericsson T68 mobile phone, in order to make it easier for users to utilise various wireless voice and data applications while on the move.
