Macintosh developer Apple Computer Corp has announced the immediate availability of an iPod device for Windows PCs.
The portable music player weighs seven ounces and can be linked to a PC via a FireWire connection for file transfer.
The device can be used on Windows ME/2000/XP.
Three capacities of iPod are available. A 5GB version costs USD299 while 10GB and 20GB models are priced at USD399 and USD499 respectively.
