TELECOMWORLDWIRE-6 September 2002-Refund on m130 offered by Palm (C)1994-2002 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http://www.m2.com
Palm is offering a full refund to customers who bought the m130 handheld digital assistant after it was revealed that the device had around 6,000 fewer colour combinations than previously advertised.
The company was sued in August for unfair competition and false advertising after the USD249 digital assistant was revealed to have 58,621 colour combinations on its screen display and not the advertised 65,000 plus.
Customers who do not want to return their m130 have been offered a free download of the video game SimCity which retails at USD29.95.
