TELECOMWORLDWIRE-16 April 2003-Oxfam receives IT management from Marimba(C)1994-2003 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http://www.m2.com

Software chain management company Marimba Inc has had its software chosen by development, relief and campaigning charity Oxfam to manage its worldwide desktop and laptop computers.

Marimba will supply its Desktop/Mobile Management products to manage Oxfam's IT infrastructure so that remote computers can be maintained from a central location. Previously, according to the company, IT personnel would have to travel to the remote location to carry out tasks such as PC repair or software upgrades.

Marimba claims that the implementation will speed up Oxfam's communications while also automatically distributing applications or updates.

The cost of the installation was not revealed.
