Medway Council in the UK has chosen to build its new web sites on the Obtree C4 content management system and SQL databases from IXOS SOFTWARE AG, an enterprise content management solutions supplier.

The web sites are now in compliance with the Disability Discrimination Act and other government standards. Several disability-friendly technologies are utilised in the sites including speech output for visually impaired people and short-cut keys for the disabled.

The cost of the agreement was not announced.
