Market intelligence and advisory firm IDC has predicted a rise in European e-government spending for 2003.

Specifically, the company is expecting the European e-government services market to grow by 13% to USD2.8bn over 2003.

IDC goes on to state that Ireland has the most sophisticated e-government solutions with the online payment of tax, VAT, customs and social contributions.
