TELECOMWORLDWIRE-7 February 2003-Strategy Analytics reports increased broadband modem sales but reduced revenues(C)1994-2003 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http://www.m2.com

Research and consulting firm Strategy Analytics Inc has observed that revenues from worldwide sales of broadband modems and gateways fell by 11% in 2002.

The company claims that this is because of a reduction in prices as sales of broadband modems increased by 52% in 2002 to 26.3m units.

Strategy Analytics has predicted annual sales of 60m units a year by 2008, an average growth of 15% per year. Conversely, the company still expects revenues to continue to fall by 5% per year until 2008.
