Contact centre Telecom Express has been chosen by BBC Radio Five Live to install an automated call handling service to deal with interactive listener response options.

Once the implementation is completed the radio station will be able to offer an extended range of services to its listeners such as travel and concert news, voting, responses and competitions. Callers can leave recorded information messages or choose to be diverted to an operator.

The financial terms of the agreement were not announced.
