TELECOMWORLDWIRE-14 October 2003-IDC expects a rise in mobile workers in Europe(C)1994-2003 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http://www.m2.com
Market analysis and advisory firm IDC has predicted that there will be 100m mobile employees in Europe by 2007.
This figure represents an increase on the 80m mobile employees that were operating in Europe in 2002. The mobile worker growth will reportedly be caused by the need for greater flexibility and enhanced efficiency for those employees that are required to carry out work away from the office.
The company goes on to state that the increase will test organisations' existing technology infrastructures.
