A survey from research company Jupiter Research has found that portable music player users tend to store 1,000 songs or less on their device.

The company went on to state that 77% of all those taking part in the survey said they would look for a device that could store all of the songs that they currently have on their PC. Also, 45% of all those that were thinking about buying a portable music player said that they would like one that was capable of playing video as well.

Other features that consumers would like to see in a portable digital jukebox include rechargeable batteries (55%), a small size (52%) and the ability to connect it to a PC (49%).
